Dinner with Friends is the Boys & Girls Club’s premier corporate fundraising event. Proceeds from the evening are dedicated to supporting the 2,400+ local youth members served annually! This year’s event will take place Thursday evening, November 2, 2017 at the Three Rivers Convention Center in Kennewick.
Each year we welcome a well-known Club Alumni or supporter as our special keynote speaker. Past years guests include Steve Largent, Gary Payton, Marcus Trufant and Edgar Martinez.
This year, we are pleased to welcome Club alumni and long time Boys & Girls Club supporter, Evander Holyfield! Four-time world heavyweight boxing champion Evander Holyfield first stepped into the ring at the Warren Unit of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta when he was 8 years old. Three years later, he qualified to compete in his first Junior Olympics. hrough an honorary membership, he continued to box at the Club until making the 1984 U.S. Olympic team at age 21. Through wins and losses, Holyfield never forgot the lessons he learned at the Club. He is passionate about the mission of the Boys & Girls Club and generously donates his time and resources to various Clubs.
